Artfully Sent You're Out of This World

Today's card from the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge is a cute little card with some creatures from far, far away. The background of this card was created from Outdoor Denim cardstock that was embossed with the Dot Embossing Folder.

I really love the pop up cards that are found on this cartridge and I think they are an unexpected element not typically found in a homemade card. There are so many different ways this card could go but today I chose to keep it simple and it took just a few minutes to create. The final touch is the Black Arrow Washi Tape at the bottom of the card.

Remember you only have until September 30 to get #30yearsofhappy FREE with any $30 stamp purchase.

Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge

I am back from a week long trip of visiting family and taking my daughter back to college for her junior year. It was an exhausting but terrific week visiting with family and getting her all moved in and settled. While I was gone the news we have all been waiting for arrived, the new Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridge - Artfully Sent is now available to order. Artfully Sent includes a terrific sentiment stamp set, upper and lowercase alphabet set with numbers, and a coordinating frame set that your sentiments will fit into perfectly! Another essential item is included as well, and one full pack of White Daisy cardstock to create your cards with.

This cartridge features more than 25 different card themes and 5 different card formats including dynamic interactive designs, this cartridge has a card for any and all occasions - even if the occasion is "just because"! Card styles include pop-ups, scenes, sentiments, sleeves and pocket cards.

Below are three cards that I have made using this great cartridge and each card is sized at 5" x 7".  The first card is fully lined on the inside.

By using the tone on tone technique I have created by own background paper. Below is Flaxen cardstock with the flowers stamped in Flaxen ink.

I love this pop up card! Who would expect this feature in a homemade card? So easy, so fun.

Enjoy Today!

The last layout I have for this week uses stamped images as the "background". The Close to My Heart Glitter Glam stamp set has some great basic shapes to add interest to your layout. What looks like a strip of washi tape at the bottom of this page is really a piece of Flaxen cardstock stamped repeatedly with Flaxen ink using the triangle shape from this stamp set.

Throughout the page are clusters of a heart, dotted circle and this circle filled with lines adding a visual and faux textural look. I don't know if you know this but grouping images/embellishment in three's is visually pleasing to the eye. The below images are stamped in Black, Flaxen, and Glacier.

Flaxen cardstock stamped with the chevron arrow is from Have a Happy Day stamp set. The HAPPY comes from Happy Birds and is also stamped in Flaxen ink. Gold Sequins add a shiny accent.

The paper used in this layout is the Seaside paper packet.

This cute feather is from the Happy Birds stamp set and the banner from Here We Go.

Here We Go also includes the happy, happy, happy seen here.

Happy Little Life

This layout features two new paper packs from Close to My Heart, Chalk it Up and Wanderful. Simple flowers, stamped in black ink on White Daisy cardstock, bubbles stamped in Lagoon, along with Gold Sequins accent this simple layout where your photos can be the star!

My absolute favorite thing about this layout is the Handwritten Print alphabet because I don't have to use my own handwriting! It is a super cut font that you will want to have and it's a complete upper and lower case alphabet in one set that is perfect for both cards and scrapbook layouts.

Aldo don't forget that you can get this great stamp set FREE with a $30 stamp purchase during the month of September!

The Best Day Ever!

I am going to showcase some scrapbook layouts this week. This layout features my sweet daughter and her college friends on some of their adventures. I have used the new Close to My Heart paper packet "Brushed" and the arrows are cut from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cardtridge and stamped with the  coordinating stamps from the Artbooking Collection.

Using a simple zig zag stitch on my sewing machine adds some interest to the page.

The title is cut two times at the same size using contrasting colors to create the shadow effect.

For accents I have used Flamingo Dots and Aqua Dots.
