Making paper flowers with the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

This week I am going to show you how to easily create paper flowers to add to any of your paper crafting projects. Six different rolled flowers are on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and they can be found on pages 68-70 of the Art Philosophy handbook. The flower shown today is cut at 4" and can be found on page 68, shift plus Font function.

Use a Sponge Dauber to completely ink the narrowest end of the flower, as far up as you desire. This will be the inside of the flower.

Ink the edges of the flower and then sponge on additional color as desired.

Fill the Spray Pen with water.

Lightly spray the flower with water.

As soon as you spray the flower it will begin to raise up from your work surface. Take care not to spray too much water or the flower may rip in the next step.

Crumple up damp flower.

Carefully smooth out flower, taking care to not rip the paper.

Quilling tool

Starting at the smallest end, slide your paper into the Quilling Tool and begin to roll up.

When you have reached the end, slide flower off of tool.

Use Liquid Glass to secure flower.

Take Quilling Tool and randomly curl petals back. To add more dimension you can also bend and flatten with your fingers to obtain your desired look.

Voila!

This comes together in just a few minutes and will provide a beautiful accent to any card or project you choose to use it on.
